وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَعْبُدُ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى حَرْفٍ فَاِنْ اَصَابَهُ خَيْرٌ اطْمَاَنَّ بِهٖ وَاِنْ اَصَابَتْهُ فِتْنَةٌ انْقَلَبَ عَلٰى وَجْهِهٖ خَسِرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةَ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الْخُسْرَانُ الْمُبٖينُ
"İnsanlardan kimi Allah'a yalnız bir yönden kulluk eder. Şöyle ki: Kendisine bir iyilik dokunursa buna pek memnun olur, bir de musibete uğrarsa çehresi değişir (dinden yüz çevirir). O, dünyasını da, ahiretini de kaybetmiştir. İşte bu, apaçık ziyanın ta kendisidir.
"And among men is he who serves Allah (standing) on theverge, so that if good befalls him he is satisfiedtherewith, but if a trial afflict him he turns backheadlong; he loses this world as well as the hereafter; thatis a manifest loss" (Hac, 22/11)
