مَثَلُ الَّذٖينَ حُمِّلُوا التَّوْرٰیةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ الْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ اَسْفَارًا بِئْسَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذٖينَ كَذَّبُوا بِاٰيَاتِ اللّٰهِ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمٖينَ
“Tevrat’la yükümlü tutulup da onunla amel etmeyenlerin durumu, ciltlerce kitap taşıyan merkebin durumu gibidir. Allah’ın âyetlerini yalanlamış olan kavmin durumu ne kötüdür! Allah, zalimler topluluğunu doğru yola iletmez.”
“The similitude of those who were charged with the (obligations of the) Mosaic Law, but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is that of a donkey which carries huge tomes (but understands them not). Evil is the similitude of people who falsify the Signs of Allah: and Allah guides not people who do wrong” (Cumua, 62/5).
